Your sponsorship supports a real, named working hive cared for by a partner beekeeper in the HiveShare network. You don't take physical possession of the hive — but it's truly yours to follow, learn from, and benefit from.

No — for the safety of the bees, the beekeepers, and our sponsors, hive visits aren't part of the sponsorship. You'll get the next best thing: regular photos, videos, and inspection updates straight from the apiary.

How often will I receive updates?

You'll receive monthly photo and video updates, plus seasonal long-form reports with inspection notes, queen status, and harvest progress.

Where does the honey come from?

Premium raw honey is harvested from the apiary caring for your matched hive. If a harvest is light, we may source honey from another HiveShare partner apiary in the same region so you still receive seasonal, raw honey.

How does this actually help bees?

Sponsorships help cover hive equipment, mite treatments, queen rearing, and habitat-friendly beekeeping practices — the practical work that helps colonies thrive long-term.

What happens if a hive dies?

Bee colonies sometimes fail despite the best care. If yours does, we'll move you to a healthy hive in the same region at no additional cost and share the story of what happened.
